In May 2021, Fine Cut Media embarked on its very first project, partnering with Kylie Low, the creator of Dark Downeast, to produce the mini-documentary Missing Kim. This marked a significant milestone for both Kylie and Fine Cut Media. For Kylie, it was the first story she ever covered for her true crime podcast, which has since grown to become part of the AudioChuck family. For us, it was an opportunity to tell a deeply personal and haunting story that remains unresolved to this day.

Missing Kim delves into the life and disappearance of Kimberly Moreau, a teenager from Jay, Maine, who vanished in May 1986. That night, Kim stepped out of her home and into a waiting car to meet friends—friends who would be the last to see her alive. Over 35 years later, her story continues to echo through the hearts of her family, her community, and all who have followed her case.

This project was made possible through the cooperation and trust of Kylie Low, and while it no longer reflects the identity of her brand, we are grateful to have received permission to continue sharing this piece as part of Fine Cut Media's showcase. It remains a testament to our dedication to storytelling and the responsibility we feel when entrusted with narratives of this magnitude.

We were honored to help bring Kim’s story to light and sincerely hope for its resolution in the near future.
